Onallia Esther Osei presents at MACIMIDE 2021 Conference
MO-TRAYL PhD Researcher Onallia Esther Osei participated in the 2021 MACIMIDE conference. She presented a paper titled, 'Negotiating power dynamics in transnational families: a youth-centric perspective about transitions out of secondary school'. The paper was part of a conference panel on Development and Migration, and presented research from Onallia's PhD project with Ghanaian youth who stay in Ghana while their parents migrate overseas.
The hybrid conference was co-organised by MACIMIDE and the Dutch Association for Migration Research (DAMR) and was held at the StayOkay in Maastricht and online on 23 September 2021.
