MO-TRAYL researchers organize panel on creative methods at MACIMIDE 2019
During the annual MACIMIDE conference, the MO-TRAYL PhD researchers organized a panel session about creative methods in migration research. As part of this, Sarah Anschütz and Gladys Akom Ankobrey shared initial reflections on the youth workshop ‘Finding Your Voice’ organized by the MO-TRAYL team in June 2019 (see also past events). Their presentation, ‘Passing the mic, and the pen: Reflections on a creative experiment to amplify the voices of transnational youth in migration research’, explored uses and possibilities of creative writing, peer-interviewing and making podcasts when working with young people of migration background. MACIMIDE took place in Maastricht (The Netherlands) on 20 September 2019 and was held by The Maastricht Centre for Citizenship, Migration and Development.
