Sarah Anschütz presents at Migrant Belongings conference

On 22 April 2021, MO-TRAYL PhD candidate Sarah Anschütz presented at the international online conference ‘Migrant Belonging: Digital Practices and the Everyday’ in the panel on ‘Youth’.

Sarah’s presentation was titled ‘Social media and transnational peers: Young people navigating and recreating the everyday during ‘home’ visits in Ghana’. In the presentation, Sarah shared findings from her fieldwork showing that young people use digital media to create new and emotional relationships with transnational peers in Ghana before visits that help them feel connected during their stay in the country of origin.
