Laura Ogden presents at Childhood Studies conference, 'Childhood and Time'
MO-TRAYL PhD researcher, Laura Ogden, presented at the 2021 Childhood Studies Association conference, held online. The theme of this year's conference was 'Childhood and Time'. Laura's presentation featured in a panel on 'Time and the Migrant Child'. Titled 'Visits and Video Calls: Transnational youth peer relationships across space and time', Laura's presentation detailed findings in her recent publication with Prof. Valentina Mazzucato in the Journal of Youth Studies, showing that migrant youth maintain peer relationships across borders that help them thrive in their education, future planning and decision-making.
