Valentina Mazzucato receives 500th ERC Grant in the Netherlands
On 16 June 2016, the 500th European Research Council (ERC) grant in the Netherlands was awarded to professor Valentina Mazzucato. She received a highly prestigious Consolidator Grant for her research project Mobility Trajectories of Young Lives (MO-TRAYL), which investigates the relation between migration and young people’s life chances.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) Sander Dekker, who attended the award ceremony, said in a speech that “this is a great moment to value the success of Dutch scientists in European research. Receiving the 500th grant confirms the high quality of Dutch science, because excellence is the most important criteria.”
MO-TRAYL has received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 682982)
