MO-TRAYL hosts European book launch of (Re)Mapping Migration and Education
On Wednesday 30 November, the MO-TRAYL team hosted the European book launch of the edited volume (Re)Mapping Migration and Education: Centering Methods and Methodologies, as part of the Globalisation, Transnationalism and Development (GTD) colloquia. The book was edited by Cathryn Magno, Jamie Lew and Sophia Rodriguez and was published in 2022 by Brill, including a chapter written by members of the MO-TRAYL team.
Speakers at the European launch included Prof. Cathryn Magno and Dr. Anna Becker (both University of Fribourg) and Dr. Sarah Anschütz of the MO-TRAYL team (Maastricht University).
Prof. Magno introduced the book and the three speakers each presented one of the innovative research methods from the book, including:
Chapter 5 Urban Refugees and Education Advocacy by Jamie Lew and Vania Villanueva (presented by Cathryn Magno)
Chapter 7 Cognitive Migration through Language by Anna Becker and Cathryn Magno (presented by Anna Becker)
Chapter 3 Mobility Trajectory Mapping for Researching the Lives and Learning Experiences of Transnational Youth by Valentina Mazzucato, Gladys Akom Ankobrey, Sarah Anschütz, Laura J. Ogden and Onallia Esther Osei (presented by Sarah Anschütz)
